作为1800对而担任学校长、大学巡回传道团团长、国际基督学生联合（ICSF）事务局局长、成和神学校事务局局长、成和大学学生处长、统一神学教授、鲜文大学教授等统一教会的要职。在此其间，成立了Sehyang Sillup有限公司（巧克力自动贩卖机设置公司）、耶稣家庭中心（JFC），SESI NET等多个企业与传教团体。
从鲜文大学辞职后，担任大韩基督教长老会合同福音（EAPC/GA）总会长、今日基督徒（Christian Today）创立者、OTCS-SCCSC校长，目前任伟仁大学校长、世界福音同盟（WEA）北美地区理事、伟仁世界宣教中心（OCWM）会长。
现居旧金山，定期巡回世界各地，也频频访问日本指导其弟子。此外，每周通过“张大卫教派”内部的互联网系统万锐网（VERENET）向全世界的信徒宣讲“周三礼拜”的教义。

David Jang is known as Muskanim (Msn), Doctor, and Pastor within the "David Jang Sect".
He has held important positions in the Unification Church as the president of the school, the head of the university tour, the director of the International Christian Students Federation (ICSF), the director of the Sung-Ho Theological School, the dean of students of Sung-Ho University, the professor of Unification Theology, and the professor of Sun Moon University. During this time, he established various businesses and missionary organizations such as Sehyang Sillup Co.
After resigning from Sun Moon University, he served as the president of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Korea Contract (EAPC/GA), the founder of Christian Today, the president of OTCS-SCCSC, and currently the president of Waynes University, the director of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) North America, and the president of the Waynes Center for World Mission (OCWM).
He currently lives in San Francisco and travels regularly around the world, as well as visiting Japan frequently to mentor his disciples. In addition, he teaches the teachings of "Wednesday Service" to believers around the world every week through VERENET, the internal Internet system of the David Chang Church.
